Newly installed garage door motor on a residential ceiling

Motor installation

New garage door motor installation in Santa Clara and Capitola

When the old unit is done, we hang a new motor, set the rails, and leave you with remotes that actually work.

The install

A new motor only when the old one is finished

We do not lead with a new opener. We hang one when the rails are tired, the board is done, or a repair would cost more than a clean install.

The door has to be balanced first. A new motor cannot carry a door that the springs have already given up on.

When we recommend it

Three reasons a repair stops being the better option

Parts are gone

The model is old enough that gears and boards are a scavenger hunt. A new unit is faster and lasts longer.

The rail is bent

A motor on a twisted rail will travel crooked. We replace the system, not one bracket.

Safety is missing

No working photo-eyes, no reverse, or a unit that ignores the wall button. That is an install, not a patch.

How it works

Pull the old unit. Hang the new one. Set the limits.

You approve the price before we take anything off the ceiling. The remotes get programmed before we pack the truck.

01

Confirm the door is balanced

We lift it by hand. If it drops or fights, springs and cables get quoted first.

02

Hang and wire the motor

Rails, head unit, sensors, and the wall control. We keep the opening usable the same day on a typical house.

03

Limits, force, remotes

Full cycles, safety reverse, and a walk-through so you know which button does what.

On the ceiling

Quiet hardware, not a leftover chain from 1998

The unit we hang depends on the door weight and the joists. These are recent installs, not catalog shots from another city.

What customers say after the job

Real Google reviews from Santa Clara, Capitola, and nearby jobs.

My neighbor recommended WEDO GARAGEDOOR as soon as I told him that my electric gate is not working. I called them and they sent a technician the same day! They fixed the problem easily and the price was fair. Definitely recommended!
